Dyslexia is difficulty with reading. About 1 in 5 children in schools today suffer from reading failure. 75% of school dropouts reported having reading problems in school. Research shows that a child not fluent by the 4th grade is likely to struggle with reading into adulthood. A majority of all poor readers have an early history of spoken language deficits.
Our therapists can work with you or your child in our center or at your home. Reading intervention early on can help prevent critical problems in the early school years.
Early literacy program
Pre-literacy refers to the period between when a child is born and starts independent reading. During this critical stage, it is crucial children learn certain principles about phonics and the letter/sound correspondence.
We have short-term early literacy programs to enable your child to get ahead and acquire the skills they will need for reading success. We will also teach you how to provide an enriched literacy environment for your child at home.
